Dr. Monique Gary

Medical Advisor

Dr. Monique Gary DO, MSc, FACS is a board certified, fellowship-trained Breast Surgical Oncologist and Medical Director of the cancer program for Grand View Health/Penn Cancer Network in Sellersville, PA, where she also serves as director of the Breast Program and the Cancer Genetics and Risk Assessment Programs.

Dr. Gary completed her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her general surgery training at the UMass, followed by Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Georgetown University.  Dr. Gary holds faculty appointments at PCOM, Penn Medicine, and Texas Christian University/UNT Health Sciences in Ft. Worth, TX.  In addition, Dr. Gary is a (daily) public health expert for Radio One stations, and the weekly co-host of a national cancer-focused education/advocacy program, The Doctor is IN.  She is published in multiple peer reviewed journals and is an invited speaker at national cancer meetings annually.  She is a committee chair and member of the board of directors for the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

As a physician, researcher, advocate and expert on cancer and healthcare disparities, she is passionate about developing integrative, holistic and innovative approaches to cancer treatment, prevention and survivorship.  To accomplish these goals, she serves on the medical and advisory board of several national cancer advocacy and empowerment organizations, and she has developed a comprehensive and compassionate approach to providing training in health literacy, community advocacy and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.  For over 18 years she has demonstrated extensive and results- driven experience in providing DEI training to health systems, nonprofit organizations, national colleges and universities, and Fortune 500 companies.
