Board Member
Cathleen is an accomplished medical strategist and healthcare visionary with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. She has expert industry knowledge from multiple stakeholder perspectives, is a deep thinker who is willing to challenge conventional thinking–with a mind to practical limitations and has a profound sense of responsibility for cultivating a healthy community through a lifelong commitment to DEI.
In Medical and Scientific Affairs, she has led the development of global scientific strategy across the lifecycle of multiple therapeutic areas at GSK, Abbott (now AbbVie), Takeda, TAP and Baxter across a variety of indications globally. She led the technical review of acquisition opportunities, identifying risks and upsides based on the preclinical and clinical data that informed the forecast.
She also has broad experience in the sales and marketing functions in the US & globally, bringing a unique perspective and the ability to understand and her collaborative style with cross-functional leaders. Further to her decade in marketing, Cathleen’s experience includes market access, commercial excellence, and global medical affairs. She has been working in Medical Strategy at marketing agencies for the past 7 years, and is currently the VP of Medical Strategy at Eversana Intouch. She brings her profound sense of responsibility for cultivating a healthy community and commitment to DEI and social justice to her roles in the industry
She received her BA, MA, and PhD from the University of Chicago, focusing on Biopsychology/Psychopharmacology. After completing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pain research at the University of Minnesota, she joined the pharmaceutical industry. Cathleen recently completed the WIB 3.8 Initiative. She has served on the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Board in Chicago and currently serves as an elected non-partisan Township Trustee, overseeing the ~US$5MM P&L of the Township, as well as Board Director for the David Adler Arts Center (~US$0.5MM P&L).
