Medical Advisor
Dr. Rose DiMarco, PharmD, BCPS, BCOP is an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist in Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. Dr. DiMarco graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at The University of the Sciences in 2013 and started her career at the former Pinnacle Health Harrisburg Hospital working in a variety of specialties, including oncology. After leaving Pinnacle Health, Dr. DiMarco returned to Philadelphia and began working at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania at Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine as a unit-based oncology clinical pharmacist. She is Board Certified in both Pharmacotherapy and Oncology. She is currently working in medical oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in Philadelphia and specializes in breast and gynecologic cancer care.
In clinic, Dr. DiMarco provides patients with education on chemotherapy and supportive care, monitors for toxicity, and works with insurance companies to ensure affordable treatments are available. In addition, Dr. DiMarco presents at Jefferson’s Cancer Support Center to members of the community on topics such as Chemotherapy Side Effects, Targeted Therapy, Supportive Care Management, and Insomnia in Cancer. Dr. DiMarco is an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience preceptor for pharmacy students looking to gain education and training in oncology. She is a member of the Protocol Review Committee which evaluates all clinical trials involving patients with cancer at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. To provide more affordable care to patients, Dr. DiMarco is a member of Jefferson’s Biosimilar Implementation Task Force which reviews new biosimilar approvals for formulary addition. She also contributes to patient safety through updating institutional guidelines and policy development and maintenance.
Dr. DiMarco is a member of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association and serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology.
